1About these terms

These terms apply to your use of this website and to the free home survey and quotation service run by Better Build ([registered company name]), a company registered in England and Wales, company number [00000000], registered office [registered address] (“Better Build”, “we”, “us”). By using the website or requesting a survey, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

If you go ahead with work, your order will be covered by a separate written contract, which will set out the full terms for that work.

2Using our website

• You may use the site for lawful, personal purposes to find out about our services and to contact us.
• You must not misuse it. For example: submitting false or other people’s details, sending spam, attempting to break or overload the site, or copying content for commercial use.
• All content, images, designs and our logo belong to us or our licensors. You may view and print pages for your own use but may not reproduce them without permission.
• We try to keep information accurate and up to date, but we do not promise the site will always be available or error-free.
• Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.

3Free home survey

• Our home survey and appraisal are free, with no obligation and no cost. You are never required to buy anything.
• The survey covers the services we offer: solar, windows & doors, conservatories, air conditioning, and residential & commercial building work.
• Surveys are subject to availability in your area. We may decline or reschedule a visit if, for example, we cannot reach your property safely or the work is outside the area we cover.
• You agree to give us accurate information and safe access to the relevant parts of your property. If you rent your home, the owner’s permission may be needed.
• The survey brochure is advice based on what we see on the day. It is not a structural survey, valuation or planning approval.

4Quotes and orders

• A quote is our price for the work described and is valid for [30] days unless it says otherwise.
• Quotes may change if the details turn out to be different once we start. For example, hidden damage, unsuitable structures or a change to your requirements. We will always tell you and agree any change with you first.
• A binding contract exists only when you accept our written quote or order and we confirm it in writing.
• Any planning, building regulations or other consents that are needed will be explained in your quote. We will tell you who is responsible for obtaining them.

5Your right to cancel

If you sign a contract at your home or away from our premises, or sign it online or by phone, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Your contract will include a cancellation notice and form that explain how to do this.

If you ask us to start work during the cancellation period you may need to pay for work already done. This will be explained before you agree. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.

6Finance

Where finance is offered it is subject to status, and terms and conditions apply. 7Savings, estimates and performance

Actual results depend on your property, usage, weather, energy prices and other factors, and are not guaranteed. Your survey and quote will give figures specific to your home.

8Our responsibility to you

• Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
• We provide the website “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss caused by using it, including losses we could not have reasonably foreseen, or loss of profit or business.
• We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.

9Complaints

If something is not right, please tell us and we will do our best to put it right quickly. Contact us using the details below. We will acknowledge your complaint within [2] working days and aim to resolve it within [14] days.
